I have noticed in conversation with guild members that we have a wide range of players in regards to their knowledge base about the star wars universe. Many play SW:TOR just because it is a fun mmo, others are more dedicated star wars fans, and many somewhere in between. It is my goal here to start highlighting some bits of history and lore that may help add more depth to your game play experience, or just fan the flames of curiosity and the desire to learn more.

Sith Lords of note-

Probably one of the most well known Sith Lords of the Old Republic would be Revan. He is often viewed as contradictory, having been Jedi, turned Sith, then returned to the Jedi once more. He became something more than either one, finding a balance and clarity in the Force that few come to understand.

Adas-
Most notable for his remarkable ability to unify the Sith for 300 years, an incredible feat given the nature of Sith with their backstabbing, plotting, warring and betrayals.

Bane-
Bane was the Sith Lord that created the 'rule of two', believing that there should never be more than two Sith- a Master and an Apprentice.

Plagueis-
Master to Darth Sidious, he sought ways to cheat death, hoping to live forever.

Although he appears much later in history than SW:TOR is set, Thrawn presents an interesting figure. He was a Chiss, the only non-human to reach the rank of Grand Admiral by his time. He was also well known for his brilliant military tactics.
